North Central Michigan College’s Corporate and Community Education department is offering spring farming and gardening workshops in Petoskey. All workshops are held in Room 536 in the Student and Community Resource Center.
Many familiar cooking herbs enhance digestion, have health-supporting properties and add micro-nutrients to our diets. On Wednesday, June 7 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Gretchen VanLoozen will talk about nutrient-rich herbs you can grow, gather and prepare. We will also learn how to preserve herbs in vinegar as a tincture or dried for later use as a tea or infusion. If you are curious about an herb in your yard, bring a sample to identify. Cost is $20.
Please register for workshops in advance. For more information or to register, visit email [email protected] or call 231-348-6613. CCE also offers customized workshops at your business. We’ll tailor the content, materials, and schedule to your needs.
