Sunday, September 17 at 3 p.m., violinist Yevgeny Kutik will be joining the Traverse Symphony Orchestra at Corson Auditorium to open their 65th anniversary season with the Brahms + Sibelius concert. That afternoon, maestro Kevin Rhodes will be conducting performances including Rossini—Semiramide Overture, Brahms —Symphony No.2 in D major and Sibelius— Violin Concerto in D minor featuring Kutik’s violin as the solo.

Kutik has performed concertos with orchestras across the United States, as well as recorded his own pieces that were inspired by his upbringing in a new country after his family left Belarus when he was 5 years old. Read more about his family’s journey and the music that was brought with them in this piece by the New York Times.

Tickets for the performance are available in all four tiers—Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum—and range from $23.50–$60.
