Traverse City is known for its beautiful bays, incredible wineries and fabulous food. Cited by many as a premiere vacation destination, it is also now home to MI Happy Place; a happiness destination!

MI Happy Place is the first brick and mortar store by Beau and Jennifer Warren. As two Traverse City natives who built a T-shirt brand, Tee See Tee, into one of the largest T-shirt companies in Michigan, Beau and Jennifer felt downtown TC needed something more than just another T-shirt shop. The Warrens’ focus is to bring a totally unique destination to downtown Traverse City by opening a store that operates on one simple premise: Sell Happy.

“Both in life and at Tee See Tee, we strive to never take life too seriously. MI Happy Place is simply that concept in a tangible form,” Beau says.

But what makes people of all walks of life happy? “Candy for starters!” says Beau.

“Candy for starters!” Beau says. Retro candy like Necco Wafers and Astropops, Japanese candy and chocolate bars from the UK will be a main feature at MI Happy Place, as well as ultra cool and collectible toys. As a long time toy collector and toy designer, selling unique toys is important to Beau. “The store is truly a reflection of my passions. It’s nostalgia in a box.” The shop is also proud to carry a custom line of soaps and candles that give a huge nod to geeky and fun.

Obviously, T-shirts are the reason MI Happy Place came to be, so it will be home to all of the great Tee See Tee apparel currently available online, along with some great new shirts that are exclusive to the store.

MI Happy Place opens Memorial Weekend and will be offering prizes, discounts and some surprises for customers all week long. The store is located at 346 E. Front Street.

About Tee See Tee
Created in 2014, Tee See Tee was the result of Beau Warren’s obsession with collecting and screenprinting T-shirts. By combining his love for a classic tee, with his and his wife Jennifer’s love for all things Michigan, the company was born. Now featured in over 60 locations throughout Michigan, TST has evolved into a favorite brand for locals and tourists alike.
