Have you ever partied in the woods? It’s become a bit of a tradition here in Traverse City, and it’s always a good time. This year’s theme at Suds & Snow is Mardi Gras (the tickets are beads!). There will be 24 breweries and three food vendors—MI Grille, Roaming Harvest and Daily Blend—at the March 4 party. The full live music lineup will be announced soon—Tell Yo Mama will be performing from 4:30–6 p.m.
The event starts with a half-mile hike through the back woods of Timber Ridge Resort. Shuttles will be running from 11:30 a.m.–7 p.m. on event day from the Old Town Parking Garage to Timber Ridge. Buses run about every 20 minutes and are free! The shuttle will also be available to drop people off at the Rare Bird Brewpub after-party. There will be parking attendants on site to help with parking, but people are encouraged to take the shuttle.
“This is a Party in the Woods,” says Troy Daily, Executive Director of Suds & Snow. “It’s different because it’s not in a parking lot, there are no tents. The event is fun because you have to walk about a half mile to the event space which is in the middle of the woods. There is no power and people can get loud. It’s all about having fun and experiencing the outdoors!”
General admission tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door (must be 21+). Tickets include two drink tokens good for a one-pint equivalent. $2 of each ticket sold will go toward local Traverse City charities and non-profits.
