The Women’s Winter Tour is a tradition that is 18 years running for some ladies. This year’s tour is next weekend, February 5 at Timber Ridge Resort, 10 a.m.– 1 p.m.
Ladies, you’re invited to release your inner goddess and celebrate the beauty of winter in Northern Michigan. Come prepared for a fun day in the snow with snowshoes, skis and even fat tire bikes. There will be two courses to choose from for snowshoes and skis— 3.1 and 5.6 miles—and a separate course for bikes. All courses will lead to the food vendors and their yummy goodies!
Indulge in tasty treats from Fresh Coast Chocolate, The Cheese Lady, Oryana, Little Bohemia and Morsels. There will be beverages served up from Cuppa Joe and Press on Juice, as well as L.Mawby’s Sex to make it a celebration (video: how sex bubbly got its name).

Timber Ridge has cabins available that can sleep up to four people each. These are a great option for those who don’t want to worry about transportation to and from the campground, or for those ladies who want to spend more time exploring the trails which are accessible right from the campground! The forecast is calling for snow, but come prepared for hiking just in case those weather people get it wrong. The event will go on snow or mud. This year’s theme is Venus. Zeus will also be making an appearance … so goddesses beware!
