Pond Hill FarmHarbor Springs

Visitors are treated to a “winter wonderland” experience. In addition to a field of pre-cut spruce and fir trees, there is a variety of handmade wreaths, swags and garland to deck your halls. After you find your tree, cross names off your Christmas shopping list with gift baskets of local goodies from Pond Hill’s store. If there’s snow on the ground, the sledding hill will be open as well as miles of groomed trails for cross country skiing, fat tire biking and snowshoeing.

Bill’s Farm Market, Petoskey

On top of snow-covered hills, rows of pre-cut blue spruce, Fraser fir, and balsam firs sit, waiting to be wrapped and strapped to car rooftops by the always friendly market staff.  Prefer to cut your own? Bill’s offers that option, too, as well as an abundance of decorations including holly, garland, swags and wreaths!

McPherson Evergreens, Ellsworth

More than 17 acres of cut-your-own and fresh, pre-cut trees in a slew of varieties, including black hills, blue spruce, corkbark fir, Scotch and white pines, balsam, Canaan, concolor, Douglas and Fraser firs. Plenty of holiday greenery is also available. Enjoy complimentary coffee, cocoa and cookies as a nifty clean, drill and wrap machine readies your tree.

Groleau’s Farm Market, Traverse City

Browse a variety of fresh-cut trees and a “full-service” staff ready to help you drill and load your perfect pick.  With wreaths, garland, lots of canned goods, maple syrup and honey also available at the farm market, you can deck your halls and your dinner table in one stop.

Kolarik Farms, Suttons Bay

A Leelanau County favorite, Kolarik’s offers cut-your-own trees, handmade ornaments and wreaths.

Schmuckal Tree Farm, Kingsley

Cut your tree (Douglas, Fraser, Canaan and concolor firs) and they’ll shake it and bale it for easy hauling—you can even borrow a saw. Plan on spending the afternoon at Schmukal’s, they’ve also got free wagon rides, free hot chocolate and free popcorn balls to enjoy by the bonfire!

Bosma’s Tree Farm, Harbor Springs

This family-owned farm has been growing Christmas trees for more than 46 years. Bonus, it’s right down the road from Boyne Highlands and Pleasantview Vineyards. Cut-your-own or pre-cut trees are available.

Komrska Tree Farms, Buckley

Note that Christmas trees are sold at two locations in Traverse City: 14th Street at Veterans Drive and Front Street at Garfield.

Pine Hill Nursery, Torch Lake & Traverse City

Wreaths, trees and garland are available at these cozy greenhouses, plus you’ll find decorations, wine, clothes and more—perfect for gifts!

Robinson Family Christmas Tree Farm, Traverse City

Walk the farm and pick a tree for the Robinson crew to cut (and bring to your car!) or select from pre-cut trees while listening to Christmas music. Don’t forget to stop by the barn after you pick your tree to get a wreath and free hot chocolate and homemade chocolate chip cookies! The kids will love watching the goats and steer, and you can bring your dogs along and let them run.
