September 23: The Life Cycle of Your Donation  Join Chris Doyal, eCommerce Manager for Goodwill of Northern Michigan, as he shares the inner workings of the booming eCommerce department. From first edition books to Mayan artifacts, you’ll be surprised what knowingly, and often unknowingly, gets donated to Goodwill. He’ll highlight some of the more unusual donations they receive and the unbelievable price these treasures bring to Goodwill when sold at their online store! Sara Kime brings to light the value of the eCommerce department in funding the many invaluable Goodwill programs and how they help people reach independence. September 24: Harvest Festival & Scarecrow Extravaganza  Celebrate harvest time in Antrim County with the 18th Annual Harvest Festival. Enjoy the “Brew” Tent and live music from local bands. Zany Scarecrows take over the streets of Bellaire where local businesses compete to win the “Best Scarecrow” award. Treasures await at the Craft & Flea market, Pancake Breakfast, kids’ events, educational hands-on booth and local food vendors. Don’t miss the Best Dressed Pet Parade! 231.533.6023.

September 24: Annual Acme Fall Festival Craft Show and Live Demonstrations, Farmers Market, Pie Contest, Car Show, Silent Auction & Raffle. Kids Activities including a Butterfly Release. Live Entertainment. All events held at Flintfields Horse Park in Williamsburg. Donations accepted for parking. A portion of festival proceeds to benefit local charities.

September 24: Hops ‘n Highlands – Features more than 44 Michigan breweries with upwards of 175 different brews. Event goers will enjoy live music from Huckleberry Groove. September 24: Craft Beer Festival Festivities begin at 9 a.m. with the Bear Claw Epic Mountain Bike Race, 1st Annual “Beer Run”, and VIP “Beer Geek” Entry. September 30: Germanfest – Trinity Lutheran Church hosts the annual Germanfest celebration in Traverse City, complete with authentic food, music, song and dance. Imported beer and wine tokens sold separately. 231.946.2720.
