Traverse City’s newest music festival will unite friends from Detroit and Traverse City over both of the areas’ best local music and spirits. The Near and Far Festival, hosted by The Little Fleet, will take place at the newly renovated Historic Barn Park in Traverse City on August 23.
Strategically set in the historic barns and botanic gardens, the festival will showcase the work that has transformed them into a new, beautiful gathering space. Some of Detroit’s local musicians gathering speed in the local music scene will perform at the festival. Some of these names include Flint Eastwood, Tunde Olaniran, and Mike Mains. Traverse City musicians to perform include Breathe Owl Breathe and others to be announced.
Concessions at the festival will be provided by The Cooks’ House of Traverse City and a well-stocked, widely arranged bar will be run by The Little Fleet. Treat yourself to the bar, which showcases the best of the two cities’ liquors and spirits, while treating your ears to these cities’ most popular up-and-comers.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. with live music starting shortly after. Tickets are $27.
