BELLAIRE: “Duck” into Bellaire…let the “quackin” begin. The Bellaire Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 29th Annual Rubber Ducky Festival in Downtown Bellaire on August 20, 2016 sponsored by 4Front Credit Union.
Highlighting the Bellaire Rubber Ducky Festival on Saturday August 20, is a quarter-mile race when 2000 yellow ducks are dumped into the Intermediate River with the finish line at Riverside Marina. Visitors can buy a $5 race ticket that corresponds to the number on a Rubber Duck. Ducks finishing the “Top 27” win a cash prize. Prizes: 1st place – $500; 2nd place -$300; 3rd – $100; 4th-7th place – $50; 8th-27th place – $10. Participants do not have to be present to win.
Also join us on Saturday for a Kids’ Activities at Duckling Park with Face Painting, Games, Bounce Houses, Slides, and a FREE Matinee Movie. Bellaire’s Biggest Parade of the season is at 3:00 followed by the 
dropping of the ducks at the North Bridge Street Bridge. Buy treasures at the Fine Arts & Crafts show with over 30 artists, explore downtown Bellaire sidewalk sales and much more. After the finish line, join us for “Beatles Forever” at the Bellaire Public Library.
This year’s Bellaire Rubber Ducky Festival is part of Bellaire’s 12 Days of Summer Celebration August 12 – August 21. Other events include the 3-day Antrim County Fair, “Christians Got Talent,” Live Music Monday and Friday night, Community Paddle Event, Bingo, Commission on Aging Picnic and Car Show, 5K Family Fun Glow Run and the Short’s Glacial Hills Challenge XC.
