As one of Traverse City‘s only professional theater companies, Parallel 45 holds a highly regarded status in the Northern Michigan stage scene. Their goal is to add a forward-looking view of the classics of the past by hosting reinterpretations of familiar shows. Past productions include a tragic spin on Peter Pan and a large-scale staging of A Streetcar Named Desire. Cast ensembles include nationally-recognized thespians, many who hail from Northern Michigan.

Now going into its seventh season, Parallel 45 is thanking its fans in a big way. For a limited time, theatergoers can purchase “early bird” season passes for 25 percent off the standard price. The deal includes two tickets to all three of the company’s 2017 shows at the InsideOut Gallery: Alice in Wonderland in March, Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play in May and June, and 45 Plays for 45 Presidents in July. This roster of shows promises one of Parallel 45’s most exciting seasons yet.

Although not included in the passes, another exciting showcase will help kick off Parallel 45’s seventh season. A staging of A Christmas Carol in Prose, co-produced with the CherryT Ball Drop, will run from December 1 through December 11 as part of the celebration of the City Opera House’s 125th anniversary. You can grab tickets for the event here.
