Meet the Foodie: Jonathan Evans

Born and raised in Benzonia, the young, animated Jonathan Evans got his start as a foodie entrepreneur at age 12, peddling drumsticks and Bomb Pops off the back of a custom ice cream bicycle on the beaches of Crystal Lake. Now an undergraduate student at Midland’s Northwood University pursuing a degree in hospitality management, Jonathan spends summers as head server at The Glenwood in Onekama.

A devotee of baked goods and Southern barbecue, Jonathan’s most recent culinary inspiration comes from a road trip to New Orleans.

You do realize that the Glenwood, is in Onekama, which is in Manistee County… and not Benzie County? Maddie’s Tavern (Grawn, just outside of Interlochen) is in Grand Traverse County…. not Benzie County. Maybe the title of the article should be Food Finds 2016 In or kind of near Benzie County.
