TRAVERSE CITY: An urban winter wonderland will greet craft brew, music, and culinary lovers at the 7th annual Traverse City Winter Microbrew & Music Festival scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2016, in downtown Traverse City.
The popular Northern Michigan event, produced by Porterhouse Presents, will take place at the Sara Hardy Parking Lots at Grandview Parkway and Union Street on the banks of the scenic Boardman River in the heart of downtown Traverse City. The event will feature multiple heated tents featuring craft breweries from around the state and nation, a huge variety of Northern Michigan beer, wines, ciders and meads, acclaimed live musical acts from Michigan and beyond, silent disco, snow forts, and local food vendors. Festivities are scheduled to take place from 4:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. Early Bird ticket holders will enter an hour earlier, at 3:00 p.m.
Sam Porter, owner of Porterhouse Presents, is looking forward to another sell-out festival and reiterates how, in the middle of the cold Northern Michigan winter, this event will provide an economic boost to the downtown region. “We love giving the folks in our community a reason to get outside and have a great time in the middle of winter. Over the past six winters, we’ve seen over 18,000 attendees enjoy great music, craft brews, and food at this annual festival – that’s a great upswing for local businesses,” he says.
A limited number of Early Bird tickets for the festival will go on sale Wednesday, November 11, at 10:00 a.m. for $40. Early Bird ticket holders will gain festival entrance one hour early, at 3:00 p.m., to enjoy one-on-one time with the brewers. General Admission tickets will go on sale on Friday, November 20, at 10:00 a.m. for $45. The ticket price will increase to $55 at the door the day of the festival (if any remain), so purchase your tickets early.
All tickets include festival entertainment, musical acts, five drink tokens, and a commemorative tasting glass. Additional tokens will be available for purchase on site.
Tickets are available online at www.microbrewandmusic.com or at www.mynorthtickets.com. Attendees are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, as the festival has sold out in the past. Ticket buyers and all attendees must be 21 years or older, no exceptions.
