Ghoulish events are happening all throughout Northern Michigan this Halloween, and they’re not just for kids. We’re talking costume contests, drink specials, and live entertainment that any Halloween-loving adult would enjoy. Make sure to stop by a Northern Michigan Halloween party (or two!) on your weekend staycation or vacation Up North. Here are a few Halloween events to get you started.

The Parlor’s Zombie Prom: A Night to Dismember

Saturday, October 31 at 8 p.m.

Come dressed as your dead best, as The Parlor will be crowning the King and Queen of the prom! Over $1,000 in gift cards and prizes will be awarded from local businesses such as Cycle Pub, Right Brain Brewery, Studio 415, AMO Outdoor Services, Patisserie Amie, Morsels, and Anytime Fitness. Plus, there will be zombie drink specials all night long.

Bonobo Winery’s Halloween at BOOnobo

12011 Center Road, Old Mission Peninsula
Friday, October 30 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Live music, the release of two hard ciders by Soul Squeeze Cellars, complimentary snacks, games, informational tours, and of course, a costume contest will take place at BOOnobo. Get in the spirit of Halloween with Bonobo Winery while enjoying a vista view of West Bay!

Short’s Brewing Company’s Annual Halloween Party

121 N. Bridge Street, Bellaire
Saturday, October 31 at 9 p.m.

Halloween brews like Pumpkincrusha, Basic B Pumpkin Latte Stoute, and a private Stache bottle release of Bourbon Evil Urges will all be served at the annual Shorts party. Beards Brewery’s Halloween Party

Dust off your fairy wings and devil tails for LFC’s Halloween party. The celebration begins at 6 p.m. and Blake Elliot and the Robinson Affair start playing tunes at 7 p.m. Plus, LFC’s costume contest judging happens at 8 p.m., so don’t forget your costume at this Traverse City urban winery event.

Tucker’s Halloween Spooktacular

Celebrate with Scary-oke Karaoke at Tuckers in Northport on Halloween. They’ll also have drink and food specials along with a costume contest. DJ Traxx starts the music at 8:30 p.m.

Grand Hotel’s Halloween at the Grand

The Leland Lodge’s Halloween Bash in Bogey’s

Saturday, October 31 at 8 p.m.

Witches Brew and Ghoul Punch drink specials will be poured at this Leland event. It wouldn’t be a bash without live entertainment and a costume contest, too! Special room packages with dinner and drink tickets are also available for Leland Lodge one night accommodations on Halloween night.

Union Street Station’s Halloween Party

117 S. Union Street, Traverse City
Saturday, October 31 at 10 p.m.

A $300 prize will be awarded to Union Street Station’s first place costume contest winner! Blud Light drink specials (that’s Bud Light beer dyed red) and music by Brett Mitchell and the Giant Ghost makes this a must-stop downtown Traverse City party.

Blu’s Halloween Dinner Party

Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar begin at 6 p.m. for Blu’s Halloween Dinner Party. Chef Randy has created a 4-course dinner menu for the Halloween affair, including roasted pumpkin soup, duck confit, panned sole, and coconut panna cotta. Ludrock’s Night of Fright 3

Presented by House of Flavors and Park Dairy, and LIVE on 94 K-Rock FM, musical acts and special performances fill the evening’s Halloween event. Ludington’s Starving Artist Brewing will be pouring beers. Plus there’s a costume contest, prizes, raffles, food, photo booth and spooky walk. Tickets at $5 and families are welcome to join the fun.

The Bluebird’s Halloween Celebration

102 River Street, Leland
Saturday, October 31 at 7 p.m.

Halloween night in the Bluebird’s tavern kicks off their first trivia night of the season. Dress up, stop in, and participate in both trivia and costume competitions for prizes.

Odawa Casino’s 9th Annual Halloween Bash

1760 Lears Road, Petoskey
Saturday, October 31 at 8 p.m.

Dress up for your chance to win up to $500 at the casino’s costume contest! This Northern Michigan event has a $5 cover charge. Plus, they’ll be handing out Budweiser swag at 9 p.m.

Dixie Saloon’s Halloween Bash

401 E. Central Ave., Mackinaw City
Saturday, October 31 at 10 p.m.

The Dixie Saloon’s costume contest is sure to bring the scare. Drink specials, DJ, and cash prizes for the top three costumes makes this a downtown Mackinaw City Halloween night destination.
