You caught a fish. You did your happy dance. And now you’re hungry.

The big question is, “How do I cook my catch?”

Thanks to Gourmet Gone Wild, young professionals are learning how to connect new fishing skills with culinary skills. This program finds foodies who love Northern Michigan outdoors, introduces them to hunting and fishing, then educates the outdoor enthusiasts on how to prepare various dishes.

In this video by Kris Riley, Gourmet Gone Wild’s Chef Dan teaches us how to grill delicious Northern Michigan salmon for blackened fish tacos at the scenic Interlochen State Park. Chateau Grand Traverse and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources join in on the fun, too — take a look!

Plus, read on to learn about Chateau Grand Traverse’s “CGT Wines of the Great Outdoors” wine series, where some proceeds support Northern Michigan outdoors and the DNR at MyNorth.com.
