PETOSKEY: In collaboration with Propellers of Bay Harbor and the Bay Harbor Yacht Club, Crooked Tree Arts Center and the Bay Harbor Foundation will host a “Charitably Chic” fashion lecture luncheon. “Lilly Pulitzer: Freshly Squeezed – Stories from the Juice Stand” will benefit the CTAC Youth Scholarship Fund. Admission to the event will include lunch, lecture, goody bag, entrance to the fashion and trunk shows, entry into drawings for fabulous gifts, and a silent auction. The prize drawing will include jewelry from Elizabeth Blair Fine Pearls, a Cynthia Rutherford original oil painting, and Lilly Pulitzer fashions. And the “Lilly Jeep” will be making a special appearance at the event.

In a colorful presentation, Lilly Pulitzer Business Development Manager, Hannah Fazio will share the story of Lilly Pulitzer from designing her first shift dress to becoming a fashion and lifestyle icon. Lillian Pulitzer Rousseau, better known as Lilly Pulitzer, was an American socialite and fashion designer. She founded her namesake fashion company in order to produce clothing and home goods featuring her notoriously bright, floral prints that gave her the nicknames “Princess of Prints” and the “Queen of Prep.”

“CTAC is thrilled to partner with the Bay Harbor Foundation on this wonderful and fun fashion event to raise money for the CTAC Youth Scholarship Fund,” said Megan DeWindt, Program Director at Crooked Tree Arts Center. “Lilly Pulitzer once said, ‘If you haven’t got any charity in your heart, you’ve got the worse kind of heart trouble.’ This is a perfect opportunity to give and have a ton of fun doing it!”

“We are honored to assist the Crooked Tree Arts Center and their Youth Scholarship Program, and commend them on their work and dedication to the Arts. Funding from this luncheon will enrich and inspire young students by providing opportunities that  might not be possible without this scholarship funding, ” Kathleen Muneio, General Manager Bay Harbor Yacht Club and Candace Fitzsimons, Executive Director of the Bay Harbor Foundation said together.

“Propellers is so excited to be a part of the ‘Charitably Chic’ event this year with CTAC and Bay Harbor Foundation,” said Heidi Hayner, Manager of Propellers at Walstrom, Inc. “We love the Lilly Pulitzer brand and all of the Lilly followers who shop in our stores. In support of CTAC, Propellers will be donating 10% of all trunk show sales to the CTAC Youth Scholarship Fund.”
