The wines produced by Shady Lane Cellars competed against wines from around the world, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and Canada, as well as all the major wine producing regions of the U.S., including California. Of the 21 awards, not single one was lower than a Silver Medal which speaks to the high quality of wine being produced by this Leelanau Peninsula winery. “Wines grown on the Leelanau Peninsula continue to win an increasing number of awards in major competitions against some of the finest wines produced anywhere,” states Shady Lane Cellars’ winemaker, Adam Satchwell, “and we are thrilled and proud to have so many of Shady Lane Cellars’ wines judged as some of the very best from anywhere in the world.”
