On October 4, 2014 Boyne City is hosting a Harvest Festival from 8 am to 4 pm in downtown Boyne City. This fall festival includes music, folk art demonstrations, children’s games, hay rides and a scarecrow-making contest. There will also be more than 30 arts and crafts vendors and a farmer’s market that will have plenty of fall produce including squash, a variety of apples, pumpkins, squash, apple butter, jam, honey and cider. 8 am-12 pm Farmers Market (many will stay until 4 pm)
(Register at 7 am) 8 am Charlevoix Area Humane Society’s 5k walk/run with your dog.
10 am-2 pm Hay Rides, Kids’ games and pumpkin painting, 200 block of Water Street.
12-10 pm Oktoberfest German food, music and beverages at Cafe Sante, One Water Street.
1-4 pm Beer Tasting, Wine Emporium and Boyne Country Provisions beer tasting.
4-7 pm Wine/cheese tasting, Wine Emporium and Boyne Country Provisions.

2-4 pm Full Circle, Straight Forward Bluegrass Band

8 pm Freshwater Art Gallery kicks off its concert season with a performance by singer-songwriter Steve Poltz. Poltz hails from San Diego and with his former girlfriend Jewel co-wrote the 1997 hit “You Were Meant For Me.” Freshwater is located at 217 S. Lake St., Boyne City, phone 231-582-2588.
