Harvest at the Commons in Traverse City

On October 11 the Michigan Land Use Institute is offering a truly farm-to-table experience in Traverse City at the Grand Traverse Commons.

Harvest at the Commons is a family-style feast, created from the best local ingredients “in honor of the farmers whose hearts and hands cultivate our region’s harvest.” This event is a celebration of the community and includes bluegrass tunes by Michigander band Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys as well as a ceremony to present Ray Minervini with the 2014 Milliken Award for his work on transforming the Grand Traverse Commons. This is great family event boasts fun, food and a celebration of the “values that unite us and keep us moving toward a stronger, healthier, more resilient community.”
