Oryana Natural Foods Market in Traverse City is holding their first annual Farm Tour Saturday September 13th from 1-5 pm at Sweeter Song Farm in Cedar. The 80 acre certified organic farm is owned by Judy Reinhardt and Jim Schwantes and produces a wide range of organic fruits and vegetables, herbs, eggs, and jam. The farm has about 80 community supported agriculture (CSA) shares and also provides produce to local venues including Oryana, La Becasse, 9 Bean Rows, and Funistrada.

Participants have the opportunity to see this flourishing farm in action on a guided tour, explore the perennial herb garden, have local snacks, and much more. This is a great family event (kids can feed the chickens lettuce!), but pets are not allowed. No RSVP is required, but remember to wear weather (and farm!) appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes.

Sweeter Song Farm is located at 4955 S. Schomberg Road/CR-645 just past the intersection of Schomberg and Bodus.
