First Place: Traverse City
Fireworks lovers packed blanket-edge to blanket-edge on the beach, floating gunwale to gunwale on the bay. Light show above, shimmering pretty in the H2O too.
Second Place: Torch Lake
(Note: a technicality in the homeland security regulations has forced the 2014 Fireworks display at Torch Lake to be cancelled. Torch Lake hopes to have a 4th of July fireworks show next year.)
Third Place: Frankfort
Art in the park, carnival rides, sandcastle contest and 4th of July fireworks in Frankfort.
