Traverse City State Theatre’s Free Kids Movies for Spring Break

From Friday, March 28th to Thursday, April 3rd, The Traverse City State Theatre is celebrating spring break with 36 great films, all for FREE! (We had to read that twice, too!) Featuring a Kids’ Matinee each morning at 10 am (10:30 am on Wednesday) with a special star map presentation by local astronomer Jerry Dobek most mornings at 9:45 am.

Friday, March 28: Oscar Snubs Day

  • 10:00 am: How to Train Your Dragon (Rated PG)

Saturday, March 29: Bechdel Test Day

  • 10:00 am: Oz: The Great and Powerful (Rated PG)

Sunday, March 30: Tribute to Harold Ramis

  • 10:00 am: Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! (Rated G)
  • 1:00 pm: Groundhog Day (Rated PG)

And for older teenagers (or those who just act like them), the following Sunday movies contain themes for more mature audiences:

  • 4:00 pm: Caddyshack (Rated R)
  • 6:30 pm: Animal House (Rated R)
  • 9:15 pm: Stripes (Rated R)
