Video: Sleeping Bear on Snowshoes

Ice and snow coat Leelanau County’s Sleeping Bear Dunes, providing the area with a sense of solitude and mystery that greatly contrast the area’s vitality during the summer months.  MyNorth’s videographer Kris Riley visited the Sleeping Bear’s Dunes, documenting the ever-changing ice formations on along the Lake Michigan shoreline, the moon-like dunes, and the expansive forests surrounding the trail.  Watch his video to gain a new perspective on the Sleeping Bear Dunes before strapping on a pair of snowshoes or cross-country skis to take to the dunes yourself.
