Michigan Events: Kids Day at Northwestern Fair

Do you love 4h and fairs?  Well the Northwestern Michigan Fair is the place for you this week.  This fun-filled fair promotes local agriculture, education, all art practices, fruit and grain products, stock raising and dairy products, domestic science and kindred interests throughout the Grand Traverse Region.  Wednesday, August 7th, is Kids' Day with tons of activities to keep them occupied.  Bring the kiddos and learn all about the animals being featured and stop by the petting zoo as well as play rounds of Bingo.  Plus, if you show up between 8am and noon it's free for kids of all ages!

Wednesday, August 7th, 2013 –  Kids’ & Special Kids’ Day

8:00 am – 12:00 pm Free admission for Special Kids of all ages!

8:30 am – 4H & Open Poultry & Waterfowl – Market, then Breed

9:00 am – Differently-Abled Program Petting Zoo

9:00 am – 4H Dairy Feeder, Jr. Beef & Steer – Showmanship

10 – 2 Decorate cupcakes and fun stuff

10 – 2 Activities for Kids

12:00 pm – 4-H Parent/Leader Beef Showmanship

12:00 pm – Arnold’s Amusements Opens!

1:00 pm – 4H Poultry – Showmanship

1:00 – 4:30 pm – Bingo

2:00 pm – 4-H Open Beef Cattle

4:00 pm – Open Dairy Cattle

4:00 pm – 4H & Open Llama & Alpaca Obstacle Course, Pack Class & Costume Class

6:00 – 9:30 pm – Bingo

6:30 pm – Mud Runs (Grandstands) (adults $10.00, kids 3-12 $5.00, 2 & under free)

8:00 pm – 4H Goat Run …………… check posting in barn for actual time
