Traverse City Microbrews: “Two trails diverged, and I…I took the one with great beer.” That’s the slogan of the recently launched Traverse City Ale Trail (TC Ale Trail). The TC Ale Trail will be a fun and rewarding way to experience Traverse City’s booming craft beer scene.
How does it work? First, pick up a TC Ale Trail Passport—complete with stamp pad, information on local breweries, and a helpful map—at any of the participating breweries, the Traverse City Visitors Center, many area hotels, or download it at tcaletrail.com. Then, while visiting each of the featured Traverse City breweries, collect a unique stamp with any purchase. Once passports are completely stamped from each of the eight breweries, return it to The Filling Station Microbrewery and receive a FREE commemorative silicone pint glass – a Silipint. For extra credit, collect a ninth stamp at Grand Traverse Distillery and receive a bonus prize!
There is no cost to participate in the TC Ale Trail. The passport is free – the prize is free. All for just drinking delicious local beer!
“We hope to bolster Traverse City’s beer scene as a whole,” says Troy Daily, of Daily Medias, the company behind the TC Ale Trail. “The Ale Trail will benefit each brewery equally while providing a fun and worthwhile challenge to local beer-lovers or visitors. There are so many great breweries here in Traverse – new and established – and the TC Ale Trail makes it easy to find each one,” Daily adds.
