Black Star Farms Arcturos 2011 Pinot Noir

Leelanau County 60% Grand Traverse County 40% . Appearance = Translucent maroon garnet. Red fruit nose, with clove and tobacco.  Youthful but varietally expressive with flavors of red cherry, strawberry, and cranberry toast. Long, cleansing finish. Delicious served with prosciutto crostini, mushroom caps with bacon and mushroom duxelle, or mushroom strudel. 

Brys Estate 2011 Pinot Noir

Old Mission Peninsula. Pretty garnet stained-glass appearance. Nose of strawberry, maple, and sweet oak. Rich, smooth, and mellow integrated red fruits dusted with dark brown sugar, finishing long. A natural partner with roasted duck with dried red or black fruits, or lightly smoked duck breast with port wine demi-glace.
