Northern Michigan’s Snow Storm Secures Track for Championship Snocross

Winter storm “Magnus” moved into Northern Michigan dropping temperatures and up to 8” of snow, followed by a steady accumulation up to 11” of lake effect snow and more to come throughout the weekend. This is good news for Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel as they prepare to present next weekend’s 2012-2013 AMSOIL Championship Snocross US 27 Motorsports National, February 8-9, 2013.

“Looks like the weather will be stellar leading into the February 8th and 9th AMSOIL Championship Snocross event at Turtle Creek Casino. We’ve already blasted more than five million gallons of water through snow guns on the property, building a virtual mountain of snow at Turtle Creek. And now it appears it’s going to snow even more in the days leading up to the event, which will make for a perfect weekend of professional snocross racing in northern Michigan” said Carl Schubitzke, ISOC (International Series of Champions, the premier snowmobiling racing organization in the world) President/Race Director.

“The solid packed base is in great condition for the racers, and we’re letting Mother Nature take over now, “ added Rob Sineway, General Manager at Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel. “It’s the largest winter motorsports event in the state, and our giant playground is ready for all the action.”
