Traverse City Events: Zonta Festival of Trees 2012 for Kids

Traverse City Events: The Zonta Festival of Trees is an annual Traverse City holiday tradition for kids and families, and this year's festival, scheduled for November 8-11, 2012 has even more magic to engage your little ones!

Held at the NMC Hagerty Center, the Festival of Trees features professionally decorated and school decorated trees, Santa visits, wreaths and accessories, family photo areas, entertainment, raffles, crafts and cooking demonstrations and refreshments.

New this year, the Zonta Club of Traverse City is bringing a Storybook Lunch to the Festival of Trees! On Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., boys and girls who love to hear and tell a story are invited to have lunch in the beautiful Lobdell's Restaurant at decorated tables around the theme of that table's book. Kids will take home a gift from each table and may win a book, too! They will also have the opportunity to participate in the arts and crafts portion of the event. It promises to be an uplifting, fun event celebrating books and stories.

In addition to the Storybook Lunch, the Zonta Club of Traverse City is pleased to announce the third year of Dolly & Me Tea with the Trees. The tea will be held in beautiful Lobdell's Restaurant, on the top floor of the Hagerty Center on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Adults are invited to bring their special youngsters and their special friend (dolls, teddy bears–all are welcome!) for a three-course tea. Each table will be uniquely decorated, and every child will take home a doll-sized ceramic teacup and saucer as a memento.
