Northern Michigan Events: Grow Benzie Offering a Variety of Classes

Northern Michigan Events: Grow Benzie and NCRS are presenting Craig Schaaf, a highly regarded agricultural specialist who will lead a series of classes in Northern Michigan this fall.  For anyone who loves to garden, beginner or experienced, Craig’s classes will increase your knowledge about gardening, food preservation, and other alternatives you may not have considered.

Please join in by bringing a dish to share, $7 per person or $10 per family. Potluck at 6:00 p.m, class at 7:00 p.m.

Pests and Disease Problems

Craig Schaaf will discuss the strategy for dealing with “pests” and other four-legged animals that can wreck havoc in your garden.  Basic preventive measures to ward off disease will be covered along with specific problems that may arise.  Fall is a good time to plan for proactive measures for next season’s gardens. 

Thriving, Not Just Surviving off the Grid
