About Humble Boy

As hearty as a big family dinner, with the depth and freshness of just harvested produce, Charlotte Jones’ Humble Boy deftly examines the relationship of a family. Befuddled, awkward and often stuttering, astro-physicist Felix Humble searches for meaning, redemption and purpose when he returns to his countryside family home following his father’s death. Alongside his self-absorbed mother Flora and a cast of unique characters, Felix struggles to find peace and direction amidst the verdant gardens and beehives of his home. “…A play with an immensely smart head and a big, puzzled but so engaging heart,” (Financial Times), this production contains mature language and content.
