Traverse City National Cherry Festival: First TART Cherry Bike Tour

Traverse City National Cherry Festival: Join the Traverse City National Cherry Festival and the TART Trails for the first ever TART Cherry Bike Tour on Sunday, July 8. The tour begins at 9 a.m. along Bay Street, near West Grand Traverse Bayin Traverse City, and covers a large portion of the TART Trails- a 15.5 mile non-motorized trail system connecting Traverse City with Suttons Bay. Running through the remainders of Leelanau County's former railroad corridors, the Leelanau portion of the trail is peerlessly beautiful, offering views of deep forests, streams, lakes, meadows, and of course, cherry orchards.

Riders will stop and refuel at the Northwestern Michigan Horticultural Research Station, where they can enjoy cherry treats and beverages while overlooking a working cherry orchard.

Additionally, each participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

A portion of the proceeds from the TART Cherry Bike Tour will donated by the National Cherry Festival to the TART Trails program. Online registration is available at cherryfestival.org
