Small Works Art Sale at the Dennos Museum in Traverse City

Time to get painting Northern Michigan artists! The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, is offering Northern Michigan artists an opportunity to create small works of art and sell them at the Dennos Museum in Traverse City.  The Small Works Sale at Northwestern Michigan College’s Dennos Museum is being offered to benefit Northern Michigan artists and art patrons.  Artists may submit up to 10 pieces of art in any media with measurements no greater than 5” x 7” x 1”.
 
There is no application fee or jury process for the sale at the Dennos Museum in Traverse City.  If the work of art fits the size and price parameters it will be allowed in the sale.  The Dennos Museum’s intent for the sale is to give artists a sales opportunity and encourage Northern Michigan patrons to buy original art at an affordable price.
 
This is the third year of the Small Works sale. Last year 116 artists brought in over 1,000 works of art to sell, the sale was a great success with over $10,000 in sales.
 
The Small Works sale at the Dennos Museum in Traverse City is open to the public and will begin with the sale and reception from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 19.  The sale will continue Friday and Saturday, May 20 & 21 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday, May 22 during the Northwestern Michigan BBQ from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
 
Buyers will have an opportunity to purchase as many pieces as they wish on a first-come basis. All art work will be priced at $50 or less.
