Out to Easter Brunch in Traverse City, Petoskey, Leland, Boyne and Ellsworth

Grand Traverse Resort, Acme:  Refuel after a weekend spent decorating (and hunting) eggs with a heavenly brunch in the sky at the resort’s Aerie Restaurant Easter morning.  From the omelet station to the s’mores French toast, this spread will have you singing hallelujah. Stafford’s Bay View Inn, Petoskey:  Petoskey’s historic inn that lives up to its name with sweeping water views has a religious following of Easter brunch fanatics. Folks return year after year for chef-carved ham and homemade waffles, as well as a chance to say hello to the Easter Bunny.  The inn also has weekend specials for those who want to wake up and walk downstairs to feast. The Bluebird, Leland:  While it isn’t technically brunch, Leland’s staple dining experience is welcoming Easter diners for dinner starting at 11:30 a.m.  The menu will be one of the biggest of the year, including Fishtown favorites like whitefish and perch as well as a smattering of specials whipped up by Bluebird chefs.  A dessert table will be available for guests to dive into including everything from chocolate bliss to homemade cherry cobbler.  Reservations highly recommended. 231-256-9081, leelanau.com/bluebird.

The Rowe Inn, Ellsworth:  A fine dining diamond in East Jordan for almost 40 years, those looking to match their Sunday best with good wine and cultured cuisine should look no further than the Rowe Inn.  From noon to 3 p.m., Chef Scott Lyons will prepare eggs benedict to order, along with a variety of special brunch selections.  The food is, simply put, just divine. Boyne Mountain, Boyne Falls:  A weekend full of Easter fun culminates with brunch in Stein Erikson’s on Sunday.  With a range of traditional good eats and a nearby Easter Egg hunt, families can burn off their big brunch or work up a serious appetite.
