Flying with Eagles

Join the Grand Traverse Conservation District and retired MDNR Wildlife Biologist, Jerry Weinrich, in a presentation of the bald eagle’s success in Michigan.  Using his decades of experience flying with the eagles—surveying their nests by airplane—you’ll feel like you are soaring over Michigan as Weinrich describes this magnificent bird’s comeback in Michigan.

The program will be held on Wednesday, October 15 from 6-7pm at the Boardman River Nature Center.  It is recommended for teens and adults.  As part of the Grand Traverse Conservation District’s Wednesday evening nature program series continuing through December, this presentation will help participants gain a deeper understanding of nature.

A full program description and schedule can be found at NatureIsCalling.org or by calling 231-941-0960.  The Nature Center is located at 1450 Cass Road 1.5 miles south of South Airport Road in Traverse City.  The Nature Center is open to the public on Tuesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday from 10 am-4 pm and on Wednesday from 10 am-8 pm.
